Shockwave Javelin: Crack Calcium to Enable Further Treatment

Our FORWARD IVL platform is designed to deliver energy beyond the tip of the catheter to modify calcium and keep procedures moving forward.

How to Use Shockwave Javelin

  • Illustrated image demonstrating how the Shockwave Javelin Peripheral IVL Catheter is delivered to a calcified lesion within the vasculature, without the need for a balloon or inflation
  • Illustrated image demonstrating how gentle forward pressure is applied while the Shockwave Javelin Peripheral IVL Catheter generates sonic pressure waves to crack calcified lesions ahead of the catheter within the vasculature
  • Illustrated image demonstrating how the Shockwave Javelin Peripheral IVL Catheter advances through the vasculature and crosses a previously uncrossable calcified lesion
  • Illustrated image demonstrating how the Shockwave Javelin Peripheral IVL Catheter creates a lumen within the vasculature to enable therapy

12-month Outcomes5

At one year, procedures performed with Javelin IVL demonstrated lasting durability, with most patients remaining free from repeat intervention. From procedure to 12-month follow up, procedures utilizing Javelin IVL demonstrated a consistently favorable safety profile, with excellent procedural data at 30 days and very low rates of limb loss and cardiovascular death through 12 months, even in a complex PAD population.
